A few things going on around Sweet Dixie Farms....

Some exciting improvements are underway at SDF-the new dressage arena is officially under construction, and the rubber footing has been delivered.

The portable cross country fences have been moved to the field below the runway, and some new ditches and bank complexes are planned to be built here as well.

Lucy's 2015 colt is a stunner! Sired by the impressive Ice Box (Tapit). We call him Frosty, and he should be making the move with us this winter to Florida.

Money is on the track in Ocala, and doing super!

Griffen in is back! A thoroughbred gelding we bred, broke, and sold as a 3 year old has been purchased for SDF student Chey Slaton to continue her eventing career! We are so glad to have the big beautiful boy back.

Mason Dixon's 2010 filly, whom we affectionately call "Moose", sold at the OBS select yearlings sale - to the owners of Summer Bird! Looking forward to her future!

***UPDATE!

Moose won her race August 21, 2015 at Canterbury Park

Speaking of fillies, the SDF "Nutfest" baby- "Feisty" is doing very well- sweet and inquisitive, with the same athletic conformation and movement as momma! She moved on to the next chapter of her life at the Ocala Breeders sale, and is no doubt filling her new owners with hopes for the future.

Thank you to the Lincoln County Horseman's Association and to the Cedar Knob Pony Club for allowing us to host their recent shows. We hope everyone had a great time!

New equipment and material means a new and improved experience for your horse's feet in the indoor arena. Come try it out! Also, the new announcer's/judge's stand seems to be working well for our officials.

The new hangar is complete! Alongside the strip, just in front of the old hangar; speaking of the runway- it has been a great grass strip for our Maule, and we have had visitors in Citabrias, Stearmans, Cubs, and another Maule. The grass is pristine, and even more runway is being improved.  13/31
